DEAR BELOVED

We thank you our brothers and sisters for helping us aquire this piece of property where we plan on buidling a big church buiding and also a nursery school for the little biys and girls in our community who can't afford school. As a church , we want to reach out to the hurting community more than ever before.

Both of these pictures of show the area we have prepared for big church buidling that we hope will accomodate the growing numbers of christians. Our evengelism teams are moving to all areas of our community teaching and preaching the word and so we pray that the lord provides us with a place big enough to fellowship with His flock.

Here are the brothers constructing the back walls of the building we are now working on because we have totally run out of space at our old church building.

God blessed us with another qualified civil ingineer( In green ) called Musisi, he has been working with one international construction company call ROKO constructions in Kampala. I baptized in a month ago. He is working on the front wall.

Here is a pit latrine that is 50 feet deep, we partitioned it into for holes and two urinals, brother Musana is in charge here. We have health inspectors and town engineers coming and making sure all standards are met as we go on with the constructions

Here is the group of 24 that was baptized last Sunday at river Mpanga, please remember to alway pray for these babies in Christ.

Brother Dan doing wahat he does best, he is a very atticulate when it comes to isses of construction. Here is seen together working on the front wall with brother Musisi.

I took this picture last Sunday and I thought I thought share it with you. Thank you my brothers and sisters for praying and supporting the work of the lord here.

Here are some of the students having lunch at the youth bible camp 2012. Our dream is to have bible camps with the young men and women every year and so please you are welcome to pray and support us for this noble course.

Some of the young men deep in the word at the youth bible camp 2012. Kindly allow me to take this opportunity to appeal for a bibles donation because many of our church members do not have a bible and have been coming to me requesting for one. God bless you

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Re: CHURCH PROGRESS REPORT

BACK GROUND:

This report gives the details of the activities that were carried out in the month of January by the Church here in Fort Portal Uganda.
The church in Fort Portal started in 2007 with 45 members. Since the year 2007, the church has grown both spiritually and numerically. The church now has 500 members from in and around Fort Portal.

When we first began in 2007 to worship God as a collective group, the church members were not spiritually mature and had no idea of how to lead, now we have church leaders leading different positions within the congregation determined to take the work of God to all places and winning souls for Christ.

Today, we have been able to purchase land and we are constructing a new Church structure for worship services because we have outgrown our current building that only holds approximately 300. We are so very thankful and grateful to the brothers and sisters of Portangeles Church of Christ in Washington State for their support that is allowing us to build our new church building.

EVANGELISM:

Me and the other Church Ministers as well as visiting Preachers from the capital city of Kampala and Jinja held a Youth Bible Meeting for 4 days and nights in the month of January at a Christian youth Camp in a village called Kanyamakerre-Kyabaraha, Fort Portal municipality east of our Church. During the Youth Bible Meeting Camp, 17 young men and women gave their lives to Christ. On Feb 1st, 2012 8 people also accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized. We have now started teaching the foundational teachings of faith to these new brothers and sister in Christ. We appeal for more material on foundational teachings of faith to help strength our new converts. Thank you so much Brothers and Sisters at Greenville Avenue Church of Christ for the wonderful teaching material you have always given to us, God bless you.

BAPTISM:

During the month of January, 35 souls were baptized and added to the lord. We give all the glory to the Lord God in the heavens

EDUCATION:

All our children with support from HHF, Brother Don and his friends at PACC were able to go back to school on January 30th, the new semester and we are very sure all their school fees p and scholastic materials are going to be taken care of by the end of this week. They are happily back and studying in their respective schools.

YOUTH BIBLE CAMP:

This Youth Bible Camp was the first of its kind in the region where by we hosted, fed, taught and directed. 100 Youth received a new experience of meeting with other youth members from other Sister Churches from villages like Kanyansohera, The Canyon County Church of Christ, where Brother Jackson is the Minister. Brother Patrice is the Minister at the Temple Spring Church of Christ a Congo refugees congregation. Many visiting Keynoters speakers spoke at our Youth Bible Camp, like Brother Isaac, Brother Okumu, Brother David, Brother Bright and Brother William. It was during this camp that 17 young men and women gave their lives to Christ. We want to thank the brothers and sisters who blessed us and gave toward this successful Youth Bible Camp 2012 and also who prayed for us. Thank you, thank you so much our brothers and sisters. May the Lord God richly reward you. The theme for this year’s Youth Bible Camp was THAT I MAY KNOW HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS RESSURECTION, Phil 3:10.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

I want to sincerely thanks to HHF and the Board of Directors, we were able to have Christmas party for all the Church which was very good and all the members appreciated everything including families that were not members of our Church. Many of our member invited non members and the un-church. All our children eat, drank and were very excited by the party. Thank you again HHF for supporting us to be able to feed these children and also buy clothes for the women and mosquito nets for the members of the church and the community.

Many families were over heard thanking the Lord for the meal and gifts they received. One child I heard myself said” this is the best Christmas I have ever had’’. I felt tears of joy rolling from my eyes because of the look of this child whom I later found out his name is Tom. This child was so malnourished and I am sure the Christmas meal is all he’s going to have for Christmas. This child Tom lives alone in a hut that was abandoned by a village lady. Ever since the Christmas meal, Tom has never missed a Sunday at Church.

FUTURE PLANS:

We are planning to host a Leadership Bible Camp which we are expecting to have a large number of our Church Leaders to come and attend.

We would like to solicit the help of anyone who is able to help us purchase a projector that will aid us to reach out to many inside and outside the church as well as the entire community and other communities. A projector would allow us to show Christian films and Bible lessons and aid us to teach the people where we want so much to take the gospel.

Evangelism is the best way to develop and grow the church. This is where we want to focus and put more effort into daily.

God bless you

Because He lives, Brother Kizito Ronald
