BAPTISM AT THE STREAM

I thank God for blessing His church with Sister Salina and Sister Beth.

God bless you Topista as you start your walk with the Lord.

She is ready for baptism.

Sister Topsta in the black shirt can't wait to be baptized. Here she is getting into the water as Sister Katusiime gets out.

Welcome to the family Sister.
Alright Sister, hold your nose and I get you down. One of our church members ( Brother Ivan ) is getting ready to introduce her to his parents for the African Traditional wedding to take place.

After the study we went to the stream and baptized two sisters in the lord and here is Sister Katusiime ready to be baptized.

Dick lead the Bible Study, thanks a lot brother.

Here is Brother Dick with Brother Obed's family after the bible study. Brother Obed hosted our last Friday cell group bible study at his house in the background. I am so proud of you Obed.

Close to thirty Brothers and Sisters turned up for the cell group bible study.

The Lord continues to add to his church in the towns and villages around here as His men, Women, boys and girls go out to share His word.

Last week we held our Friday cell group bible study at Brother Obed’s home and Brother Dick was in charge of the day. He shared about salvation and when he invited people to take Christ as their own Lord and savoir two Sisters came forward and gave their lives to Jesus. We took them to the stream and we baptized them. Please pray for sister Topista and Sister Katusiime as they start their walk with the Lord. I lead last Sunday service and I encouraged parents to love their kids and teach them the bible. I shared with them the importance of their children’s love toward God.

Three people gave their lives to Jesus but because it raining heavily and the water in the stream very, very cold we agreed to hold the baptisms today Wednesday at 3:00 PM so we are getting prepared to fulfill this most important decision the brothers and Sisters have made.

I thank you so much my Brothers and Sisters for the prayers and support you continually put into the Lord’s work here in Uganda. Please pray for us that the lord may provide us with the resources needed for more growth and expansion of his kingdom.

One of our needs right now is getting funds for the purchase of a piece of land where we can build a church building and other buildings for different purposes. We would also like to buy windows, and paint the inside of the church building where we are currently. We believe God is able and he is going to provide as we continue to trust Him and know that He owns it all.

God bless you

Bro Ronald

HOME CELL GROUP BIBLE STUDY

Singing before our Cell group bible study started.
Reading the scriptures during the bible study

This was Brother Odomel's day to lead the Cell group Bible Study.

This was the first day of our youth football Team.

Here are the guys in action on their first first last Saturday.
It has been such a great week here. We have been carrying out house to house gospel sharing. What we are currently doing is visiting all our church members’ homes sharing the gospel with their members of the family who do not go to church with us. We also encourage them to invite their friends over for the bible study. It has been real good. We are not only preaching the gospel but also getting to know the families of our members. This is indeed encouraging the Christians to be part of the evangelism team.

The young men of our congregation have formed a football team; they said they wanted to spend some of their free time playing football so that thru this they could interact with other young men such that they can share with them the word of God. We have discovered that one can easily reach out to people at social gatherings. Foot ball pitches is one of the places young men get to meet one another. They formed the team and approached the church for support with soccer balls and other necessities but because as we have very limited resources we only managed to buy the one soccer ball because they are very expensive. Last Saturday we went to the field, made a circle and prayed together and kicked of the training. Within Ten minutes about ten village boys showed up and asked to join the team. It was really good. We expect more and more as they guys intensify their training.

We would like to get more soccer balls God willing so that we may get training with a number of them such that when others are playing, others can be training with the trainer said Brother Robert Mugabe the head of the football team. Their number one dream is to reach out to young men in and around the village and also compete with other churches in the District.

Today Wednesday we have four baptisms at the stream right after the evening bible study. Two of the ladies have been studying the bible with us for two months while the others accepted Jesus during last Monday’s home cell groups.

God bless you so much and thank you so much for praying for us and the ministry as a whole.

BENEVOLENCE SUNDAY

Other Christians helping Brother Charles to distribute the food last Sunday.

Part of our congregation last Sunday

Here is Brother Charles giving out the food right after our church Service. So much food was brought and given out to identified people in and outside the congregation.

Dear our Brothers and Sisters in the lord, I bring greetings to you on behalf of the lord’s church here in Fort Portal. We thank you so much for your prayers your offer to the lord on behalf of His ministry here and all over the world.

Both the young peoples’ ( YET) and the grown up evangelizing ministries continue to be very active preaching the word of God in and around villages and many a giving their lives to Jesus. Last Sunday 7 people gave their lives to Jesus and one of them is an old man close to eighty years, he said he had never been to church in his entire life but after our outreach team visited and shared Christ with him and invited him to fellowship with us during our Midweek bible studies, he came to church for three consecutive Sundays and on his forth Sunday with us he gave his life to Jesus.

About three weeks ago our church leadership had a meeting and discussed so many things, it was really good. We have a four hour meeting exchanging ideas and sharing our dreams about the lord’s work. We talked about different ministries and also came up with some new ministries that we think are going to propel His work to greater heights. When Brother Ray and Randy where here, we had a men’s meeting and during that meeting that they facilitated we were blessed to learn quite a lot about different ministries and so during our leadership meeting we brought our ideas and every body was able to find a ministry in which he can best perform. It was very interesting indeed. Thank you so much our brother for advising us on how to get everybody involved in His work. During our leadership meeting five men were selected and appointed to the Planning and Development committee and they are already carrying out their work. Brother Charles is heading this committee assisted by Brother Dick.

One of the other issues discussed was how to encourage Brothers and Sisters from within the congregation to be of more help to one another and to the community outside the church. Most people here do not have paying jobs but the have some thing to eat because majority of them have pieces of land on which they live off of so the leadership took a decision to encourage the church to use what that they have to reach to the poor in and outside our church community, it was 100% agreed on by all of us that we should make every last Sunday of each months as a day to bring lots o food to give to the poor ones of our congregation and those outside. We termed every last Sunday of the month as The Benevolence Sunday. We shall be encouraging each one of the members to bring fresh food and this we started last Sunday. We said in order to encourage the entire congregation, the leaders should bring even more and so it was last Sunday. Every body brought something so share, many poor ones went home with smiles on their faces, we also took some to the poor ones in the villages that don’t pray with us. It was really good for God was glorified highly in all this. People brought bananas, Sugar canes, pumpkins fresh from their gardens, Guavas, lots of avocados, fresh vegetables, beans, P nuts, Cassava, sweet and Irish potatoes etc.

The attendance last Sunday was close to 400 hundred and in the kids school room was 78 according to Brother John who was in charge of the class last Sunday. We count the number of those present every Sunday so to know if there is either an increase or a decrease in number. This also helps us to carry out though planning for the church. Please continue to pray for as we reach out to the lost Satan also tries to fight us back BUT he will not win however much he tries for God is with us everyday.

Please also pray that the lord may provide some of our needs. The other prayer request is lifting us up in your prayers that may the lord let there be healing in our church because in last two weeks we have had 3 kids die of malaria and several others admitted in the hospital due to malaria. Even some leaders have been attacked by the same diseases. Brother Odomel’ daughter of 14 yrs also died last Thursday. This problem is not only in our church but also in may other churches and communities.

God bless you my Brothers and Sisters.

Bro Ronald
