BEAUTIFICATION WEEK

It is class time for every present.
Sister Rose with the blue headgear on is conducting the class, she has offered to teach the young women a skill for free. Thanks a lot Sister.

Here are our Sisters in the lord in their cosmotology class, they are indeed enjoying it so much because they will be able to make ends meet when they are thru with their class when they get jobs in salons in and around here. The church is helping them with a number of things for their class. Please pray for us because one of our dreams is to see project continue so that many of our SIsters may learn a skill. They number of Sisters who want to learn to make different hair styles is so big but we had to cut it down because our resources are very limited.

Every one of us is busy putting our hands together to beautify the church building. We fixed windows and doors and painted the whole church building.
The first three freshly bapatized Sisters on the right side were introduced to Christ by Brother Ray Amooti and Randy Akiiki during their visit here.

Several months ago, this new Sister in Christ asked us to leave her home whone we took the good news to her house and here we are very happy after she accepted Jesus. All things happen so we could return all glory to God. Thank you so much father for turning our hearts back to you.

I thank you God for the brothers and Sisters who respond whne you call.

Most food was harvested from the gardens that Sunda morning and so it was very fresh. In the plastic bags are beans and passion fruits.

All types of foods were brought over for the Benovelence Sunday on the 27/07/08 and many people in need of food were helped.

Each one of us brought something to share with our Brothers and Sisters in and outside church community.

Dick is amazed at some of the avacados brought over the Christians.

It was yet another day yesterday for our Brothers and Sisters who can’t afford good meals to have fun again feasting on all types of foods generously given by the loving and caring Brothers and Sisters here at the lord’s church. Many brought all types of health organic nutritious foods so that our Brothers both and in and outside of church could enjoy. So much food was brought to church so as to share with the less fortunate of our church community. We are very thankful to the lord for giving us food to eat and be merry.

We have had quite a number of activities going this week and they all have been fun to do. One of the women in the church has decided to give free cosmetology classes to women who want to learn how to treat and make hair styles for a living and as a church we are very thankful to Sister Rose because when they learn, finish and get jobs in salons they will be able to fend for themselves and families. Rose is a very loving woman to both her family and the church and gifted with the singing gift. We have encouraged young women t join and learn a trade and a congregation we have offered to help with a few needs to kick start them. We bought hair oils, plastic rollers, towels and lots of hair rolls for them to use when learning.

This week has been known as the church beautification week. During this week we have had our church windows fitted with glass, put in new doors and painted both in and outside of the church and planted flowers. It has been really good and we thank the lord for enabling us beautify His church. We have also had over ten baptisms during different days. Hey, have you ever visited some one’s home purposely to share the good news of the lord only to be given matching orders ? Well I have. Over seven months ago I went to one of the homes around here to take the good news to the occupants of the house and when I knocked on the door a lady of about 70 yrs came and rudely asked I me asked what I wanted at home, I greeted here, introduced myself and told her I was at her house to share Christ with. Guess what her answer was. She asked me to leave her house immediately and that I should never ever step in her yard so I left and went to another home since I was not welcome to her house. I kept praying for this family because I knew they needed Christ. Later I also learnt from the few church members I shared with what happened that that family was known all over the place how anti Christ it was however I did not give up on praying for them. For six months I did not visit this family again but recently one of the lady’s daughter became so sick and she was brought to church by the same lady who person who sent me away from her. When I saw her from a distance coming to church with her sick on one Sunday morning I ran over to her and asked what happened to her daughter, she told me she was very sick and that she needed the church to pray for her healing. I told her that the lord we serve is able to heal so we prayed for her. We did not ask them to stay for the church service but they stayed and that day my sermon about Returning to the Lord. After service she came over to me and said she would like to come back to church. Deep inside me I became so happy for her to want to come back to fellowship and then on I intensified my prayers for them. The next Sunday she did not come back because all through the service I was looking for her among the three hundred in vain but because every Sunday we announce to the visitors that we hold Wednesday midweek bible study at church, she came on Wednesday and from then on she started attending bible studies alone but last Friday when we had our Friday night cell group bible study at her neighbor’s house she surrendered her life to Jesus asked me to baptize her, there was serious jubilations among the members who attended but because it had rained heavily that day and the water in the stream was very, very cold we put the baptism to the next day Saturday and so it was.

Among the five ladies who gave there live to Jesus and were baptized last Saturday three were introduced to Christ by Brothers Ray and Randy in May this year. During our outreach days with our brothers we visited so many homes and shared with the occupants and many were introduced to Christ for the very first time. From these ladies’ family comes three of our church members Rebecca, John and Esther. The three Sisters had never been to church before. Thank you so much Brother Ray Amooti and Randy Akiiki for sharing Christ with the Ugandan people. This family comes from Bundibugyo District where the Pygmies live and now the entire family goes to church with us.

God is good and able indeed. Please continue to pray for the lord’s ministry here.

God bless you

Brother Ronald
