WONDERFUL MINISTRY TEAM

Dear brothers, Sisters and partners in Christ

Greetings to you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you so much for the continued prayers you offer to God for the ministry here in Fort Portal.

Because of your prayers, many things that glorify God are being done. Men and women are surrendering their lives to Jesus, the good news is spreading like wild fire and many are being reached out to. It is very exciting indeed.

During our mid week bible study 2 people gave their lives to Jesus and the same happened last Sunday. This is a gospel explosion taking place here and we are very thankful to the Lord for enabling us to reach out. He gave us a very loving and an all for him ministry team.

I have had a serious problem this week however I thank God for his protection and I thank you my brothers and Sister for the prayers you have offered for me. Your messages and phone calls have been very encouraging and comforting.

God bless you mightily in his son’s name. Amen

5 GIVE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS

Dear our brothers and sisters in the Lord

I bring greetings to you from the Church. We had a wonderful service during which 5 people gave their lives to Jesus. I shared about GIVING. We feel very blessed to have a very giving congregation.

In the congregation here, we have got lots elderly women and also lots of widows with lots of children to fend yet many of them have no jobs at all so, today about 20 ladies called brother Dick and I to their meeting and they told us that they would like to form a Christian handcrafts making club in the church so that they may be able to make crafts for a living. They asked to help them find market for their produce and I tell you I was overwhelmed and excited about this idea. I have always wanted to help these ladies but I did not know how to help so I kept asking God to show a way I could be of help but today I got excited about their Ideas and pray blessings upon them.

Most of these women have been baptized in the Lord recently. Please pray for them and their work. I hope to post some of the things they will be making and if at all you might feel interested in helping these ladies by buying their produce, you are welcome to contact me. All you have to do is click on my profile and send me an e-mail.

The ladies are going to be making African baskets in their natural colors, African earrings, Necklaces, marts, Batiks with African animals and many other light weight crafts.

Brother Dick and Dan have also offered to teach construction to some young men who have no jobs to do and we are very thankful to God for giving us such kind hearted men to us. These men are both construction engineers.

Among those to gave their lives to Jesus is a qualified Nurse from our government hospital, she is called Christine. Please pray for her as she is going to be very helpful in her area of profession to the church. She shared with me some of the dreams she has and they are so wonderful.

Please pray for the ladies’ ministry.

God bless you

CHURCH UPCOMING EVENTS

Here is part of the congregation

The service today was great, Brother Dick shared on Temptations. He spoke about our brother and Lord Jesus being tempted by the devil. He remained the Christian about NOT falling into traps laid by the devil. It was such a moving sermon when he used the story of Job. Thank you God for Brother Dick and the so many others like him.

Today’s attendance was great, we had over 230 Christians in the church, and we thank the Lord for allowing his word to spread to the people in the villages where we preach Christ. Please pray for us as we will be moving around in the surrounding areas sharing Christ with many. Pray that many will be very receptive of the message of salvation we will be sharing.

Currently, we are working on plans to carry out a gospel campaign in February; this will involve building platforms in selected villages for the open air preaching which is locally called Crusades. Please pray for the upcoming events that many will give their lives to Christ, that the Lord provide the resources that we will need to make it a success. It is going to require lots of time planning and money to hire a PA system, transport and other requirements involved in doing it.

We’ve put all our plans to God in prayer and we trust that he is able to let us accomplish greater things that bring glory to him.

We feel so encouraged by your prayers brothers and sisters, thank you very much.

Be blessed

VISITING CONGOLESE FRIENDS

Here I am offering prayers for our Congolese brothers.

My friend Amis measures the door size to give me a picture of how much it would cost to fix windors and doors in the building.

Brother Dick brought his friend Gregory to do the roofing of the church building and it turned out real good.

The church floor was completed last monday although I haven't yet taken pictures of the it, I hope to take them during this week and post them in my next posts this coming sunday.

My brothers are enjoying the painting of the church building.
Dear brothers and sister in the Lord

Greetings to you from Fort Portal Uganda. This week has been a very busy week for all of us here in the Lord’s congregation.

The church floor and roof have been completed, we painted the last bit of the church exterior, it was fun finishing most of the work on our church building.

We also got a visiting Congolese delegation last Sunday, they were at church to invite us to the Congo to go preach in their churches. We are very excited for the opportunities God is placing before us to serve him.

I would like to thank all of our brothers and sisters who always pray for the Lord’s work here in Fort Portal Uganda, the Lord is blessing us everyday. People are very eager to listen to the word of God.

Two people gave their lives to Jesus during our door to door preaching in the Villages and when they came to church, we all could see the joy and love of Jesus in their lives, thank you Jesus.

As you can see in one of the pictures, I had a guy come measure the doors and windows sizes to give me the cost of how much it would take to have the doors and windows put in the building. He told me that 5 window and 2 doors are going to cost 313 US dollars. When we are able to get that amount, we will be able to put the doors and windows in the church building. Please pray for us as we seek the Lord’s financial blessing to the church.

We are all very excited that our sister Barbara is out of the hospital and recovering, God is able.

I also went to the Ugandan capital Kampala to have my chest checked because I was feeling so much pains after all the work we did but the doctor gave me a clean bill, I am free from any dangers. Brother Dick and Dan are out of the hospital as well although Dan is awaiting further medical check ups.

God bless you till we meet here again.
